80 Art Journal Prompts to Unblank Your Blank Page
Sometimes we all need a little boost to jump start the creative juices. Here’s a list of art journal prompts to help get you started. I like printing these out on card stock and cutting each one out to keep in a little jar on my desk. Then when I need to, I just reach in and grab one. I don’t allow myself to put it back either (most of the time).
How do you use art journal prompts? Pick one of the art journal prompts from the list below. But challenge yourself. Try not to just draw an outline and something and leave it at that. Create a page around that topic or thing. Add color and meaning. Bring it to life. What does the word mean to you? Does the word invoke a feeling? An old memory? A favorite item you had when you were a kid? Reflect on it for a minute before putting anything on the page.

I started a nature journal years ago.
Artsystarts inspires me to add more entries! I love the mixed media examples. Looking forward to incorporating journaling with my art.
