Hi! I'm Melissa.

I’ve always loved creating things. Whether it’s painting, creating something out of paper, writing, drawing or even my (very) sad attempt at sewing. I would just love spending time creating, whether it was good or not. The process was comforting.

But then I let things interfere.

Between the pressures of being a military wife and trying to build a career, I allowed all those pressures to keep me from doing the things I enjoy. Feeling the need to constantly achieve and excel, to earn more, to get a bigger title… it was an exhausting never-ending cycle.

Creativity took a back seat.

The longer I ignored my need for creativity, the more stressed, anxious and depressed I became. When I came to the realization that a career just isn’t as important as my health and happiness, things started getting better. Quick. I made a daily practice to create something in my art journal. I’m a more relaxed and happier human.

We’re all creative in one way or another. Sometimes there’s a pull to create something, but we’re just not sure what or where to start. I want to help you find your creativity.
